Point Monitor's History

Point Monitor was founded by Mark G. Higgins in 1999 in the Portland, Oregon metro area. With humble beginnings and one customer at a time, we began to serve.

As the company grew, offices in Beaverton became too small. In January of 2003, our Portland office on Oleson Road became our home for 4 years. We added installers, technicians, engineering staff and had a sizeable fleet of service vehicles on the road by 2006.

Because of a rapidly growing team and need for more warehouse space, the company moved to our current location on Nimbus Avenue in Beaverton in Spring 2007. Before the ink was dry on the lease, the adjacent space was added and used for conference room and home electronics display areas.

By 2008, the offerings of this 20+ person team include monitoring, fire alarm, security, communications, nurse call, networking infrastructure, CCTV surveillance, access control, industrial monitoring products, home entertainement and home automation systems, custom install, high-end audio and video distribution, and periodic fire alarm testing and repair services.
